SHRC issues notice to Comm Secy Home, DGP, Div Com, others over civilian killing in Baba Gund | KNO

Srinagar, March 11 (KNO) : State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) on Monday issued a notice to Commissioner Secretary Home department, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Director General of Police (DGP), Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara regarding civilian killings and damaged residential houses at Baba Gund Handwara. According to a statement issued to KNO, the SHCR Chairperson Rtd Justice Bilal Nazki issued notices to above mentioned officer regarding a case under number SHRC /49/kup/2019 dated 7/3/2019. The SHRC chairperson has asked the officers to submit the detailed compliance report before the commission on 4th April 2019. The petition in this regard was filed by International Forum for Justice Human Rights JK chairman Muhammad Ahsan Untoo.(KNO)
